Hello!

We have a problem regarding product category sorting in elastic. In DB we have sort order of e.g. 5, but in elastic it is put as 1 (which is wrong).

Triggering product update events is not fixing it, so there must be a bug in one of plugins.

    There is a bug in \Spryker\Zed\ProductPageSearch\Communication\Plugin\PageMapExpander\ProductCategoryPageMapExpanderPlugin::setSortingForTreeParents

    at some point it overrides right value with the value from a child category…

    the value for category 145 should be 4 but the category 1479 overrides it…

    I will not create a ticket. I found the issue, I’m creating a hotfix on our application. It’s your decision if you want to fix in the core or not.

    @UNTTWV4JK Thanks it would be great if you could report this as a ticket and provide your fix, we can quickly merge it in core and release it very fast as you are already tested. otherwise we will fix it for sure and @valerii.trots will update you when it’s released

    All is corrected what u say.... Support ticket etc... But guys...
    @UNTTWV4JK if u fix this on your application u can also share your fix with @UNBSW8S8K and then also @valerii.trots known the fix and can put it fast in internal ticket as possible solution.... It is a slack community channel named "Help", therefore we have to help someone if he has a problem, not just say "I found the issue too and fixed on my application".
    It was clear from beginning of this post that the problem was there

    when we spend 2 days investigating deep core bugs, we ask here maybe it's a known thing. you should actually be interested to look into it and maybe write the ticket yourself, this is very valuable feedback for you guys, spryker

    There is a simple workflow for issues when you find them:
    1. create an issue in support desk
    2. be notified when it's fixed and released.

    Thank you guys for your feedback. Yes, we will fix the reported issues for sure, this is our duty for our customers but this community channel is more about helping each other to find issues and fix them in very agile process, be part of a one team and have one common goal which is success for all sides. πŸ™‚
    we really appreciate you comments and feedback and we will improve this every day.

    Thank you for the feedback.
    Community channel does not provide SLA from any party involved, commitment and support in the channel is voluntary.

    There is only one channel for Core bug reports: support.spryker.com. There you can describe the issue, emphasize importance and get reliable resolution ETA from Spryker Team.
    We also expect our partners to register all found issues in the support portal, that Spryker can provide enhancements and patches to the Spryker Products from Core.

    I’m very sorry for this confusion and understand your frustration. We make sure that our partners are aware of available communication channels and their purpose.
