Worth mentioning that I’ve recently updated my macOS system to Big Sur. Also, I’ve updated everything to be up-to-date including VirtualBox and also Vagrant

Seems related to https://github.com/hashicorp/vagrant/issues/10708.
So from what I can tell this seems to be an issue with your host machine not having enough space on disk to start up the virtual machine. <https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/18343> If you clean up the space on disk, you should be able to get around this VirtualBox issue.

I’ve read that, but should not be the case as this is a new machine with 400gb free disk space

Lack of space wasn't a issue. Turned out i used the wrong path for new vms and was bad permissions. could use a better error message.

Idk exactly where to set the paths for the vms. I just followed along this tutorial from the documentation: https://documentation.spryker.com/docs/b2c-demo-shop-installation-mac-os-or-linux-with-devvm

Interesting. VirtualBox couldn't install at all without this allowance when I was on Mac.

I remember that I accepted it … but i still get the latest error 😞

re-installing the virtualbox did the trick somehow and re-accepting the Oracle in Security & Privacy.
