Spryker Frontend for Backend Developer

Hello Guys, I am currently checking the "Spryker Frontend for Backend Developer" course.
I have followed the steps explained in the course video. I am also compared the course code from github with my code. Unfortunately the newly created theme is not applied to the local "DE" shop.
Theme data is already available under public folder.
Just wondering if someone also faced the same issue.
