RECAP 🎉 - Spryker Hackathon - 13th & 14th of March
Hi CommerceQuest Crew,
Great news! Spryker’s Hackathon was a great experience: an engaging mix of networking, fun, and tackling development challenges. 🚀
4 Teams took on diverse challenges that developers encountered while creating new commerce applications with Spryker.
We won't steal their thunder, but are happy to give you a quick recap of what those teams worked on.
Thanks for all your hard work - the demos were mind-blowing!
MassiveData
Team members - @mjung @augustinas.paukstys Maher & @silvio
As the name implies team MassiveData aimed to find a solution to handling the largest volumes of data between platforms while ensuring efficiency and scalability.
Their concept was to break up the data sets in batches.
See it in action:
SPOILER ALERT: This team convinced the Hackathon Jury in the respective categories (Impact, Innovation & Feasibility) and took the trophies home as the winning team! BIG KUDOS to them! 🤩
Footprinter
Team members - @sergii.pryz, @vasily.rodin @muhammad.jadoon
Current code generators do what they are intended to do. Yet, it’s extremely time-consuming to create new, custom templates with them. Achieving that implies a lot of documentation and an extensive learning curve.
The team Footprinter aimed to create a simplified way of converting code to template and back to code.
Check it out:
Initiator
Team members - @raycoulstock @sven.ommer @LukasB & @julius.wortmann
Team Initiator asked themselves this question: How do we add a new store easily as a developer, and as part of a DevOps process?
The current process involves adjusting config files, generate new code, and additional back-office activities. They wanted to speed things up - all from the command line.
Their concept involves a new application that would make the adjustment to the Spryker project automatically out of its command line.
Take a look:
SprykerDeck
Team members @dennis_bluemer @schoenfeld, @David Wischner, & @marco.kaiser
Creating a great developer experience is key, and the team SprykerDeck wanted to push the existing boundaries within Spryker, going beyond existing code generators, co-pilots, kits, etc.
So why not have Spryker run on a SteamDeck and prove you can run Spryker Experience on every device?
