Does your final step include a method call on a Client that sends the request to Zed so it gets saved?

The checkout which uses the step engine as well has
PlaceOrderStepas the final step and there calls$checkoutResponseTransfer = $this->checkoutClient->placeOrder($quoteTransfer);
